As if the year wasn’t bad enough, in 2019 we were obliged to say goodbye to far too many members of the worldwide literary community—from the universally beloved to the highly controversial, from the mega-famous to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. So before we break for the holiday, consider this a final farewell to some of the writers, editors, and booksellers we lost this year—though it is certain that for most, this tribute will not be their last.
The world ends every second, every hour, every day, for someone.

He came to feel at home in Japan, where he received many honors for his work, and settled permanently in 2011. “I gradually thought of Japan as a place where I would like to live, and also where I would like to die,” the native New Yorker said in a 2015 interview with The Associated Press.
给中式英语的三点提议:-First, is my version clear (no pronouns without plain antecedents, no misplaced vague or so highly condensed as to be incomprehensible)? -Second, is my version logical? -Third, is my version as we can propose a list of dangling modifiers, no expressions so of tight and as light as possible?
